FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Straight answers about how HaulOS works for owner-operators.
How do I get paid? Where does the money go?
When a broker pays one of your invoices through HaulOS, the money goes directly to your own connected bank account — not to HaulOS. We use Stripe Connect, which means each operator links their own bank and receives 100% of their invoice payments. HaulOS never holds or touches your money, and we take no cut of your freight revenue.
Is my data safe? Can other fleets see my loads?
No. Each fleet's data is completely isolated at the database level. Other HaulOS users cannot see your loads, drivers, brokers, financials, or documents. Your information is encrypted in transit and at rest, and your banking details are handled entirely by Stripe — HaulOS never stores them.
What does the AI actually do?
HaulOS uses AI to handle the paperwork that normally eats your day. It reads rate confirmations from brokers and books the load automatically. It reads bills of lading from a photo and generates the invoice. It emails brokers status updates as loads move through your pipeline. It scans compliance documents and tracks expiration dates. You stay in control — the AI does the typing, you make the decisions.
What happens if the AI reads something wrong?
You always have the final say. Every time the AI extracts information — from a rate con, a BOL, or a compliance document — it shows you what it found on a review screen before anything is saved. You can fix any field before confirming. Nothing is locked; you can edit loads, brokers, drivers, and invoices at any time.
Do I need a contract? Can I cancel anytime?
No long-term contract. HaulOS is month-to-month. You can cancel anytime and your cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You can export your data before you go.
How much does it cost?
HaulOS has three plans: Starter at $99/month for smaller operations, Pro at $199/month for growing fleets, and Enterprise with custom pricing for larger operations. All plans include the full AI automation suite. There are no per-load fees and no cut of your freight payments.
Do my brokers or drivers need to sign up for anything?
No. Your brokers simply receive professional emails and can pay invoices with a click. Your drivers receive text or email updates if you choose to enable them. Neither needs a HaulOS account — only you, the operator, do.
How do invoice payments reach me?
Once you connect your bank in Settings, every invoice email you send includes a secure "Pay Invoice" button. Your broker pays by card or ACH bank transfer through Stripe's secure checkout, and the funds are deposited into your connected bank account. The invoice is then marked as paid.
Are there processing fees on invoice payments?
HaulOS takes no cut — not a cent of your freight revenue. Stripe, who moves the money, charges its standard processing fee, and that comes out of the deposit like it would with any card reader or payment processor. The method your broker chooses makes a big difference on freight-sized invoices: ACH bank transfer costs 0.8%, capped at $5 no matter how large the invoice, while card is 2.9% + 30 cents. On a $1,975 load that is $5 by ACH versus about $58 by card. Both options are on every invoice, and ACH is listed first — point your brokers at it and the fee is almost nothing.
What about text message (SMS) updates?
HaulOS can text your drivers load and dispatch updates, with full consent controls. Drivers opt in, and can reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe. We follow all carrier and TCPA compliance requirements for business text messaging.
I'm not tech-savvy. Is this hard to use?
HaulOS is built for truckers, not techies. Most actions are a tap or a photo. Snap a picture of a BOL and you get an invoice. Paste a rate con and the load books itself. The whole app works on your phone from the cab.
